No. I'd rather not loose out on DP removers in dungeons, because if you wipe twice it's going to be almost impossible to finish the rest of the dungeon. However, I could care less if we weren't able to use cons that grant effects. As it was mentioned on another thread, limit cons to one per person and remove the recharge on essense of celerity and SCs would die down.

The game is five years old; I don't want to redo areas, missions, or dungeons for 1k in rewards or the hope that I'll get a super fancy weapon if I complete the dungeon 50 times.

Then don't.

Still doesn't change the fact that adding in more rewards for doing stuff doesn't make the gameplay itself rewarding. If you are playing a game you don't like, for rewards in that game that you don't like, I don't know where to begin telling you what is wrong.

So now it's "wrong" to ask for more incentives to play a particular part of the game? Why would I bother doing a dungeon when I could group up in, say, an elite area where I get better rewards as I play through the level and have better drops at the end? It's not that I don't want to play the game, it's that I want to be rewarded for sticking through a dungeon.

You're right, I rarely do dungeons anymore aside from the odd run because it's not worth the time doing the dungeon I've finished over 60 times to get 2 items that are not worth it (the dungeon I've done the most is SoO, out of 68 runs I've done there I've only gotten a r9 energy storage suntouched staff and a r13 DM BDS- bless lady luck). If there was a better form of reward then I will be more inclined to group up instead of running the dungeon. Now I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm sure others would like to be given something other than a r12 bone staff and a diamond.
